š°BIG NEWS: Angel Deal Flow is Here
Pelvic floor health, non-opioid pain management, niche beauty products, and a wedding coordinator marketplace

Happy Thursday.
Last week I asked 150+ of my most engaged readers how I can do better. Hereās what you told me:
āCan you share more deals with us?ā
Yup. Can do.
This week Iām excited to introduce a new section called āAngel Deals of the Weekā where Iāll highlight angel deal activity across the ecosystem. For now, Iām pulling this from publicly available channels, but if you or your angel community would like to announce deals directly to our audience shoot me a note.
Here are your angel deals of the week, one thing on my mind, some bookmarks I think you'll enjoy, and the latest podcast drop in case you missed it.

The Observerās Notebook: Flywheels š
Last week I was fortunate to attend the inaugural Newsletter Marketing Summit in Austin.
Fantastic event. Lots of lessons.
But my biggest takeaway?
To build real, enduring value you gotta build flywheels - not linear processes.
The concept is drawn from Jim Collinsā āGood to Greatā, one of my all-time-favorite books, but specifically applied to newsletters/podcasts.
Hereās an excerpt from the book (sourced via his personal website) that explains it well:
Picture a huge, heavy flywheelāa massive metal disk mounted horizontally on an axle, about 30 feet in diameter, 2 feet thick, and weighing about 5,000 pounds. Now imagine that your task is to get the flywheel rotating on the axle as fast and long as possible. Pushing with great effort, you get the flywheel to inch forward, moving almost imperceptibly at first. You keep pushing and, after two or three hours of persistent effort, you get the flywheel to complete one entire turn. You keep pushing, and the flywheel begins to move a bit faster, and with continued great effort, you move it around a second rotation. You keep pushing in a consistent direction. Three turns ... four ... five ... six ... the flywheel builds up speed ... seven ... eight ... you keep pushing ... nine ... ten ... it builds momentum ... eleven ... twelve ... moving faster with each turn ... twenty ... thirty ... fifty ... a hundred.
Then, at some pointābreakthrough! The momentum of the thing kicks in in your favor, hurling the flywheel forward, turn after turn ... whoosh! ... its own heavy weight working for you. Youāre pushing no harder than during the first rotation, but the flywheel goes faster and faster. Each turn of the flywheel builds upon work done earlier, compounding your investment of effort. A thousand times faster, then ten thousand, then a hundred thousand. The huge heavy disk flies forward, with almost unstoppable momentum.
So how am I doing this via The Diligent Observer?
What weāve done in this weekās newsletter is a start: highlighting interesting angel deal flow.
Stay tuned for more :)
