Earlier this year, PitchFact supported the Texas A&M New Ventures Competition (TNVC) by producing a 2-page diligence report on each of the 20 participating startups. Check out the full case study here.

Competitors were all Texas-based ventures with a technology or science focus in the pre-seed/seed, start-up, or early growth stages, and winners were awarded over $450K in prizes.

Here are 14 startups to watch:

Additive at Scale

Additive at Scale (AAS) is the premier provider of Advanced Rapid Manufacturing services in Central Texas. AAS offers engineering and design services to take ideas through the scale-up manufacturing process from additive manufacturing (3D Printing), bridge tooling (3D Printed Molds), to scale-up injection molding. From entrepreneur to private sector, to the Department of Defense, AAS is at the forefront of bringing together advancements in materials and robotic autonomation with traditional manufacturing.

ARK Power Technology Corp.

Ark Power Technology is a leader in next-generation solid-state lithium-sulfur batteries. ARK’s work builds on cutting-edge research by Distinguished Professor Wonbong Choi conducted at the University of North Texas.

ByteTrail, Inc.

ByteTrail is using Gen AI to solve DeviceOps and vulnerability management for IoT networks and devices.

ClaraSim Systems, Inc.

ClaraSim is developing personalized, virtual, surgical rehearsal for complex surgical procedures. By leveraging cutting-edge machine learning and world-class kinesthetic haptics, we aim to set a new standard of care in surgical planning and training.

Ember Sleep is the next generation of sleep apnea treatment. A comfortable wearable without surgery to open the airway during sleep to breathe and live a healthier life.

Paradigm Robotics, LLC

Paradigm Robotics is an Austin, Texas-based robotics startup building advanced and versatile robotic platform solutions to provide mission critical situational awareness for firefighting, disaster response, industrial/manufacturing, and other industries. We help protect the brave in the most hazardous of environments.

ParaDocs Health Inc.

ParaDocs harnesses patent-pending, NSF-awarded AI to transform chronic disease management system, enhancing operational efficiency & transparency in primary care settings.

Pike Robotics

Advanced Robotics Company focused on delivering inspection robots for use in hazardous locations to help maintain critical infrastructure utilized by energy companies.

Southwest Yeast Lab LLC

Taurus Vascular

I’m eager to watch each of these companies grow, and expect we’ll see many of them around the angel circuit in the coming years.
